The British engineering company JCB and the driver Andy Green have set a new world land speed record for a hydrogen-powered vehicle of 406.320mph with their JCB Hydromax. The attempt comes 20 years after Green drove JCB's Dieselmax car to a FIA-certified diesel land speed record of 350.092mph.
